The Survey Tool includes all information needed to prepare and submit materials for an NCQA survey. Organizations applying for accreditation must complete the Survey Tool and submit it to NCQA to begin the survey process.
New: This Survey Tool purchase includes access to the File Review, a new online system developed by NCQA to efficiently manage the file review process required for Health Plan Accreditation (HPA) Surveys. The File Review System is accessed through NCQA's Interactive Review Tool (IRT) system.
The online File Review system will be a cross-functional service for all file-review information and will replace the use of Excel File Review Workbooks during HPA Surveys. Among many other improvements, the system will:
Collect all file submissions applicable for review.
House and display final file selections (previously shared via email communication).
Provide a quick reference to file review requirement language in the standards and guidelines.
Include a confidential self-assessment feature for ongoing file monitoring and mock audits.
Record surveyors' file review scores and findings during surveys.
Push file review results into IRT element scores.
House and display final file review results (not public).
NCQA will continue to migrate all Excel File Review Workbooks into the online system and will update customers on our progress.
